The Bank of Papua New Guinea has recently issued new 5- and 20-kina banknotes, both dated 2024.
The first two digits of the serial number (24) represent the year of printing. The notes are the same as the reduced-size 5-kina note first issued in (20)16 and the 20-kina banknote first issued in (20)21, except for the year of printing and the signatures. The new notes are signed by Elizabeth Genia (Governor) and Andrew F. Oaeke (Secretary Department of Treasury).

All notes are uncirculated (UNC) unless otherwise stated. We use the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) grading standards. Banknotes graded by third-party grading companies are identified as such.
