On November 5, 2024, the Banca Naţională a României (National Bank of Romania) issued a new numismatic product: an uncut block of four of the 2024 10-leu polymer banknote.
The special uncut sheets, each consisting of four banknotes with a total nominal value of 40 lei, were placed in presentation envelopes and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity in Romanian, English and French.
Each certificate of authenticity contains the signatures of the Governor of the National Bank of Romania and the Chief Cashier, as well as listing the serial numbers of the four banknotes. The banknotes have the same technical specifications as circulation notes. This special uncut sheet was launched at the same time as a commemorative gold coin with the theme, "80 years since the unfolding of Operation 'Neptune'".
The issue quantity of the uncut sheet was 5000 pieces and was sold for 60 lei (72 lei including VAT).
